Day01 Chengdu
In the morning drive to Xinjin County and visit of Laojun mountain and Laojun Temple. Laojun Mountain is a famous Daoist moutain, where is one of the base of the branches of “Wu Dou Mi Dao“ – founded by master Zhangdaoling. It’s about 617 mteres high, famous for the Daoist culture and the big ceremony – Laojun temple festival.
In the afternoon drive back to Chengdu and visit of Qingyang Gong. Qingyang Temple is one of the most famous Daoist temples in China. The temple was originally built in the Tang Dynasty (618-907), a period when Taoism was flourishing. Wandering through the temple, you will find many locals and visitors eating, drinking tea and playing Mahjong at the temple's teahouse. This is a traditional and extremely popular pastime for the people of Chengdu. Day02 Chengdu
In the morning drive to visit Mt. Qingcheng. In Taoist mythology, it was the site of the Yellow Emperor's studies with Ning Fengzhi. As a centre of the Daoist religion it hosts many temples. Hike up to visit the Shangqing Temple and proceed to visit Laojunge Tower. Then hike to take the cable car down to the mountain foot. Drive back to Chengdu.
