Day02 Train Beijing – Mt. Wutai BL
In the morning, drive to visit Thanzhe Temple, situated in the Western Hills, a mountainous area in western Beijing. Built in the Jin Dynasty (265–420), it has an age of around 1,700 years. Tanzhe Temple is one of the oldest temples in Beijing. Then visit Jietai Temple, located in Mentougou District in western Beijing. It was constructed during the Tang dynasty, with major modifications made during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In the afternoon, drive to the railway station and catch your train to Mt. Wutai (K603 1715/2323, soft sleeper). On arrival, meet your guide and drive to check in your hotel. Overnight at 4*Huahui Shan Zhuang Hotel

Day03 Mt. Wutai BLD
Full day visit of Mt. Wutai, one of the four most famous Buddhist holy mountains in China. It is as famous as Mt. Emeishan in Sichuan Province, Mt. Putuoshan in Zhejiang Province, and Mt. Jiuhuashan in Anhui Province, all of which are renowned as the four sacred Buddhist Mountains. Today we will spend the whole morning to explore the holy mountain. Day04 Drive Mt. Wutai – Taiyuan, Fly Taiyuan – Chengdu BLD
In the morning, we head for Taiyuan, the provincial capital of Shanxi. Upon arrival in Taiyuan, visit of Jinci Temple, a combination of historical cultural relics and beautiful landscapes in the southeast of Taiyuan. Then transfer to the airport and fly to Chengdu, provincial capital of Sichuan and home of Giant Pandas. On arrival, meet your guide and drive to check in your hotel. Day05 Chengdu BL
In the morning drive to Chengdu Giant Panda Base of Breeding and Research. Founded in 1985, today there are over 50 giant pandas living there. Then visit the famous Buddhist temple of Wenshu Yuan (Temple of Manjusri). Wenshu Monastery is the best-preserved Buddhist temple in Chengdu. Initially built in the Tang Dynasty (618-907), all the precious relics, a piece of the broken skull of Xuan Zhang, a renowned monk of the Tang Dynasty, is the rarest. Another treasure is a delicate jade Buddha statue brought from Burma to China in 1922 by Xing Lin, a Buddhist monk who walked the whole distance. Then stroll around the streets surrounding Wenshu Monastery – Wenshu Fang. At last, we will a walk at the Kuan-zhai Alley, which has 3 alleys: Kuan Alley, Zhai Alley, and Jing Alley. Day06 Chengdu – Leshan – Emei Shan BLD
In the morning leave for Leshan. On the way enjoy the beautiful countryside landscape of western Chengdu Plains during about two hours of driving on the expressway. Upon arrival in Leshan visit of the Grand Buddha in Lingyun Temple. The grand Buddha was completed in 803 of Tang Dynasty after 90 years of construction and enjoys the fame of the biggest sitting stone sculpture in the world (71-meter height). Carved on the cliff face, the sculpture is well designed with perfect balance and effective water drainage system. After the visit of Lingyun Temple and the Grand Buddha, boating on the Minjiang River to see the front site of the Grand Buddha and the "hidden sleeping Buddha". Afterwards head for Mt. Emei, the main ritual place of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva (Puxian Pusa) and one of the four most celebrated Buddhist mountains in China. Visit of Baoguo Si at the foot of Mt. Day07 Emei Shan – Chengdu BL
Early in the morning take the sightseeing bus to Leidongping Bus Station along the 52-kilometer zigzag mountain road. Upon arrival, we take the cable car to the Golden Summit. With an altitude of 3099 meters, if the weather is fine, the view is amazing; the verdant forest waves surge along the mountain; Min River, Qingyi River and Dadu River are like three pieces of silk; Mt. Daxue and Mt. Gongga seem to stretch to the horizon; the sun emerges with all shimmering rays through the surging clouds. If you are lucky enough, the Buddhist light is visible. After the visit of Huazang Si Temple and the golden statue of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva (Puxian Pusa), we take the cable car and the sightseeing bus down to the foot of Mt. Day08 Fly Chengdu – Hefei, Hefei – Mt. Jiuhua Shan BLD
In the morning, drive to the airport to catch your flight to Hefei, capital of Anhui province. Then drive to Mt. Jiuhua, one of the four sacred mountains of Chinese Buddhism. Mount Jiuhua was originally known as Jiuzi (Nine-Peak) Mountain. It was renamed Jiuhua Mountain because of a Li Bai poem, the famous poet of the Tang Dynasty. During the golden periods of the Ming and Qing dynasties, there were 360 temples and 4,000 to 5,000 monks and nuns. It is known as the mountain of Dizang Buddhisattva and for having a large number of whole Buddhist relics. There are 99 peaks in the area, among them Shiwang Peak, Lotus Peak, and others. Sometimes, we can see the Buddhist ceremony at Qiyuan Temple in the evening. Overnight at 3*Julong Hotel

Day09 Mt. Jiuhua Shan BLD
Full day sightseeing at Mt. Jiuhua. In the morning, transfer by sightseeing shuttle bus to Min Yuan spot. Then walk to the highest temple on Jiuhua Mountain - Tiantai Temple via the ancient Baijingtai (footprint of Jin Ksitigarbharaja). Overview on Jiuhua Town if the weather is fine. Then walk to catch the cable car down to the mountain foot and then transfer to Bai Sui Gong (Hundred-year-old Palace) and admire the body of Wuxia monk. Overnight at 3*Julong Hotel

Day10 Mt. Jiuhua – Tunxi BL
In the morning, drive to Huangshan city / Tunxi district. En route visit Shexian County—one of the historic and cultural cities in China, which is well-known for its long history and profound culture. There, you may appreciate the unique Tangyue Archways—the largest in scope in China till now. Transfer to Yixian County, which is praised as an Eden’s Garden on earth，visiting the famous village called Hongcun (the unique buffalo-shaped village, one of the locations for the Oskar-awarded movie “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”). Then pay a visit to Xidi, which was declared a part of the "Ancient Villages in Southern Anhui" World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000, along with the village of Hongcun. The street pattern of Xidi is dominated by a main road which runs in an east-west direction and is flanked by two parallel streets. Today, 124 well preserved wooden residences from the Ming and Qing dynasties with beautiful carvings form the major attractions. Many of these residences are open to the public. Day11 Tunxi – Mt. Huangshan BLD
In the morning, drive to Huangshan Scenic Area and take the Yungu Cable-car up the mountain. Full day sightseeing in Mt. Huangshan. As an international ecotourism point of interest, UNESCO listed the mountain as an official World Cultural Heritage Site in 1990. Known for its unique pines, geological formations, dream-like clouds and clear hot springs, Huangshan is known in China as "The Number One Mountain under Heaven". We will visit the Shixinfeng Peak, Meng Bi Sheng Hua, Shizifeng Peak (Lion Peak), Fei Lai Shi, Guang Ming Ding, etc. Overnight at 4*Bei Hai Hotel

Day12 Huangshan – Hangzhou BL
If the weather is fine, get up early to appreciate the beautiful sunrise. In the morning, sightseeing in Huangshan. Visit the Cloud-dispelling Pavilion and the Xihai Grand Canyon. At noon, go down the Mountain by Yungu Cable-car. Then drive to Hangzhou and check in your hotel. Overnight at 4*Wuyang Hotel

Day13 Hangzhou BL
Full day tour at Hangzhou. Visit of Lin Yin Si. The temple is without doubt a premier showpiece in the West Lake environ and is notable also as one of the ten most famous Buddhist temples of China. Besides visit of the Six Harmonies Pagoda. The name "six harmonies" comes from the six Buddhist ordinances, meaning "harmonies of the heaven, earth, north, south, east, and west". In the afternoon boating on the West Lake and visit of the Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The West Lake is the most well-known scenic site of Hangzhou. Overnight at 4*Wuyang Hotel

Day14 Hangzhou – Ningbo – Mt. Putuo Shan BLD
After breakfast, drive to Ningbo, visit the King Ascoka Temple, which is the only thousand-year-old temple named after the King Asoka. Then take the boat to Mt. Putuo Shan. Mount Putuo is one of the four sacred mountains in Chinese Buddhism, and is considered as the bodhimanda of Avalokitesvara (Guan Yin), a revered Bodhisattva in many parts of East Asia. Mount Putuo lies on Eastern Sea of China and displays the beauty between sea and mountain. Upon arrival, visit of Puji Monastery and the Zi Zhu Lin (purple bamboo forest). Puji Monastery is located at the center of the island, is the most accessible and famous monastery on Putuo Shan. Overnight at 4*Putuoshan Grand Hotel

Day15 Mt. Putuo Shan – Shanghai BL
In the morning, pay a visit to Fayu Monastery, which is located at the foot of Fodingshan (Foding Mountain), at the north end of 1000 step Beach. Then hike up to visit Huiji Monastery, which is located near the top of Fodingshan. Most active visitors and pilgrims take the concrete steps from Fayu Temple. It takes about 1 hour to climb the mountain. Then transfer to catch the boat to Shanghai, China’s largest booming city. Transfer to the Hotel. Overnight at 4*Xingyu Oriental Bund Hotel

Day16 Shanghai BL
In the morning visit of Yufo Si Temple, built in 1882. Shanghai Buddhist College is founded in the temple on May 29, 1942. Then visit of Waitan (Bund). As one of the most recognizable architectural symbols of Shanghai, the Bund site shows a portion of the historic center of the foreign presence in Shanghai and its transformation in recent times. Day17 See off B
In the morning drive to the Shanghai Maglev Train station at Longyang Rd. Take the transrapid to the airport for flight homeward. End of the amazing tour.
