Get up early and go birding in the spot. Then drive to Wawu Shan (Highest point: 3522m), which is located in Hongya county, about 180km away from Chengdu downtown. Mt. Wawu Shan is reputed as one of the birth place of Taoism, the hometown of Gezihua / dove trees, and the kingdom of azaleas. There are over one thousand animal species living there. In the morning, drive to Mt. Emei. Take the sightseeing bus to Leidongping Bus Station along the 52-kilometer zigzag mountain road. Upon arrival, take the cable car to the Golden Summit. Get up early, hike in, the forest around Fuhu Temple for birding. Then go back to the hotel to enjoy your breakfast, and drive to Leshan. Upon arrival in Leshan visit of the Grand Buddha in Lingyun Temple. The grand Buddha was completed in 803 of Tang Dynasty after 90 years of construction. Enjoy the fame of the biggest sitting stone sculpture in the world (71-meter high). Then boating on Minjiang River to see the front site of the Grand Buddha and the “hidden sleeping Buddha”.
