Day01 Chengdu – Dujiangyan – Qingchengshan LD
In the morning drive to Dujiangyan to visit the Irrigation System, which was built around 250 BC by Li Bin, a governor of Shu Prefecture in Qin State. The great project still works well today after more than two thousands years in activity. Not only it puts into an end the water disasters but it also makes Chengdu Plain "the land of abundance". While visiting the water conservation work, you may find that the methods of harnessing the river the ancient people used were simple but effective. In 2000, Dujiangyan became a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterwards drive to visit Mt. Qingcheng. In Taoist mythology, it was the site of the Yellow Emperor's studies with Ning Fengzhi. As a centre of the Taoist religion, it hosts many temples. Hike up to visit the Shangqing Gong Temple fake uhren and proceed to visit Laojunge Tower. Enjoy Taoist vegetarian dinner at Shangqing Gong Temple. Overnight at simple guesthouse of Shangqing Gong Temple Day02 Qingchengshan – Chengdu LD After breakfast we hike to take the cable car down to the mountain foot. Drive back to Chengdu, on the way visit of the Museum of Sichuan Cuisine in Pixian County. With concrete exhibits and interactive activities, the museum offers you A to Z knowledge of everything you want to know about Sichuan style food. You can also learn how to cook the Sichuan dishes there. The Museum is also a beautiful garden. In the garden you will discover the vegetables in the field and chickens in the fence, and the most interesting is that you will see the manufacture of the Pixain Douban.
