Then drive to Sanxingdui Museum in Guanghan. The Sanxingdui ruins, the perfect representation of the Yangtze River civilization, is one of the most important discoveries in the history of science and culture. This discovery has shifted the time horizon of history and culture for the Shu Kingdom about 2,000 years in advance. Because of it, the civilization history of China has been rewritten. Overnight at 4*Mianzhou Hotel Day03 Mianyang - Pingwu - Jiuzhaigou BLD Drive to Pingwu, visit Bao'en Si temple. It is a Buddhist Monastery, the history of it date back to the 15th Century. The temple is famous for its glazed roof tiles, the same tiles were used for the Forbidden City in Beijing. With a size of 278 by 100 meters, it is one of the largest Buddhist temple in Sichuan. Late in the afternoon arrival in Xiahe, capital of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture (2900 m). In Xiahe, you will visit Labrang Monastery, the most important monastic center on the northeast border of the Tibet region after Kumbum Monastery. This monastery was bulit in 1710, it is one of the Six-Pillar monasteries. It has been used over centuries as a connection between Tibetan and Mongolian Lamaism. Overnight at 3*Wangfu Hotel Day08 Xiahe – Tongren BLD Drive to Tongren, visit Longwu monastery of Gelukpa sect which was initially constructed in Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) as a monastery of Sakya-sect and Wutun village the center of Tibetan Regong-Art, which is a successful mixture of religion and folk art. Overnight at 3*Regong Hotel Day09 Tongren – Xining BLD In the morning drive to Xining, the capital of Qinghai province. This city is mainly inhabited with Tibetans but also a home of Uygur, Kazak and Hui minorities. Visit Kumbum Monastery (Ta'er Si) of Gelukpa-sect, which was built in 1560 in Huangzhong county and also one of the six grand monasteries in theTibetan area. Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Lamaistic "yellow hat sect", was born here. As Kumbum-monastery has always been playing an important role to connect the Mongolian with Lamaism, today many Mongolian come to this place for worship. Overnight at 4*Holiday Dynasty Hotel Day10 Xining BLD In the morning drive across over Sun-and-Moon mountain (Ri Yue Shan) to Koko Nor Lake (Qinghai Hu). In 641 Wencheng princess of Tang Dynasty passed by this mountain where today a sun-pavilion and a moon-pavilion are built on the summit for people to have a break. The Sun-and-Moon mountain has always been a distinguish line between meadow and agriculture area. Walking by the Koko Nor Lake, the biggest salty lake in China. "Koko Nor" in Mongolian language means "blue sea” because of the lunar shape and the color of the lake. In the late afternoon drive back to Xining. Overnight at 4*Holiday Dynasty Hotel Day11 Xiahe - Bingling Si - Lanzhou BLD Drive to Lanzhou, en routen visit Binling Buddhist cave Monastery . After crossing the Yellow River, reach the "Caves of the 1000 Buddha temple." The oldest caves and niches can be traced back to the 4/5 Century AD.
