Day07 Rangtang - Banma

Day08 Banma - Darlag - Gande - Maqin (3719m)
In Banma visit Monastery Cagri (Jiangritang Si) of Nyingmapa school. Drive to Darlag town, en route visit Dogongma Monastery of Nyingmapapa school. Then drive to Maqin. Overnight at 2*Xueshan Hotel

Day09 Maqin - Amnye Machen Mountain - Maqin - Guide
Excursion to Amnye Machen Mountain, the holy Mountain especially for the Ngolok Tibetans. If the weather is good, you can enjoy the view of Main Summit (6282 m) of Amnye Machen Mountain from Dongqinggou. Drive to Guide, en route visit a famous and most important monastery in the Ngolok area - Ragya the Gelugpa school by the Huanghe River. Overnight at 3*Wenquan Hotel

Day10 Guide - Lijiaxia - Koko Nor Lake
Drive to Lijiaxia. Boating on the artificial lake of Yellow River, visit the National Forest Park Kanbula, enjoy the landscape of red sand stone and the three famous monasteries in the Namdzong Valley: Achung Namdzong Monastery, Namdzong Nunnery and Benben Monastery. Continue to drive to Koko Nor Lake (Qinghai Hu). Overnight at 2*QInghaihu Hotel

Day11 Koko Nor Lake - Sun Moon Pass - Xining (2295m)
Travel Distance: 130km, travel time: 2 hours. Drive via Moon-Sun Pass to Xining, visit Kumbum Monastery (Taer Si) in Huangzhong. Overnight at 4*Dynasty Holiday Hotel

Day12 Xining - Zhangye
Travel Distance: 336km. Driving time: 7 hours. Drive via Qilian Shan Mountains to Zhangye. Visit the Grand Buddha Temple (Dafo Si). Overnight at 4*Huachen International Hotel

Day13 Zhangye - Jiuquan - Jiayuguan

Day14 Jiayuguan - Jiuquan - Ejina Qi

Day15 Ejina Qi
In the morning visit Kara Khoto, the black town in the desert. From the 10th century to the violent bloody demise in 1372 Kara Khoto was an important outpost of Tangut Kingdom Xixia. Then visit the Five Pagodas Temple and the ruins of Datong. Visit the Poplar Forest, the poplars are in a peculiar form, it’s a good subject of photography.

Day16 Ejina Qi - Alanshan Geo National Park - Badan Jilin Desert
Long drive to Alanshan Geo National Park (650 km). camping

Day17 Badan Jilin Desert
Departure at 08:00 o’clock with local jeep to Holy Spring Yinderi Tu (approx. 3 km). The sacred spring rises in the lake. Climb the 500-meter high Sand Dune Bilu Tu (approx. 2.5 hours), it is known as "Mount Qomolangma in the desert." Visit Bada Jilin Monastery. Then return to the Geo-Alanshan National Park. camping

Day18 Badan Jilin - Alanshan Youqi - Wuwei - Tianzhu - Lanzhou
Drive via Alanshan Youqi to Wuwei, in Wuwei visit the tombs of the Han dynasty in Leitai Park and the Confucius Temple (Wen Miao). Then drive via Tianzhu to Lanzhou. Overnight at 4*Legend Hotel

Day19 Lanzhou - Bingling Si - Xiahe (2900m)
Travel Distance: 278km. Fahrzet: 6.40 hours. Drive to Xiahe, go to visit Binglingsi Grottoes. Overnight at 3*Wangfu Hotel

Day20 Xiahe - Gahai - Langmusi (3600m)
Travel Distance: 183km. Driving time: 3.40 hours. In the morning visit Labrang monastery in Xiahe, then drive via Gaihai lake to Langmusi, visit Langmusi monastery. Overnight at 2*Langmusi Hotel

Day21 Langmusi - Hua Hu - Ruoergai - Hongyuan (2850m)
