Day01 Arrival in Chengdu LD
Arrival in Chengdu, capital of province Sichuan, the home town of Panda. Picked up by the local guide at the airport and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon visit of the famous Buddhist temple Wenshu Yuan (Temple of Manjusri). Wenshu Monastery is the best-preserved Buddhist temple in Chengdu. Initially built in the Tang Dynasty (618-907), all the precious relics, a piece of the broken skull of Xuan Zhang, a renowned monk of the Tang Dynasty, is the rarest. Another treasure is a delicate jade Buddha statue brought from Burma to China in 1922 by Xing Lin, a Buddhist monk who walked the whole distance. Then stroll around the streets surrounding Wenshu Monastery – Wenshu Fang. Overnight at Buddha Zen Hotel

Day02 Chengdu - Guangyuan BLD
In the morning drive to Chengdu Giant Panda Base of Breeding and Research. Founded in 1985, today there are over 50 giant pandas living there. After a close contact with the lovely giant pandas, leave for Guanghan to visit Sanxingdui Museum. This site is recognized as one of the most important ancient remains in the world for its vast size, lengthy period and enriched cultural contents. The unique Sanxingdui Museum is a good place to explore the mysterious ancient Shu culture and history. Afterwards drive to Guangyuan. Overnight at 4*Guangyuan International Hotel

Day03 Guangyuan BLD
Full day guided tour in and around Guangyuan. The visits include the ancient carvings of Buddhist figures and stories on the Thousand-Buddha-Cliff, 5 kilometers north of Guangyuan downtown on the east bank of Jialing River. The Thousand-Buddha-Cliff, with over 7,000 different size carvings, is claimed to be the largest grotto cluster in Sichuan Province. Drive to tour Huangze Temple, the memorial shrine to Wu Zhetian, the first and unique female who ascended to the throne in the imperial dynasties. After the visit we will take an excursion on the ancient plank roads that meanderingly hung on the cliffs above the Jialing River. Overnight at 4*Guangyuan International Hotel

Day04 Guangyuan – Bazhong BLD
Leave in the morning for Bazhong. Today's goal is Shuining Si Buddhist Grotto, 37km east to the county seat of Bazhong scattered in 27 niches with over 300 life-sized Buddhist sculptures. Overnight at Jiangbei Hotel

Day05 Bazhong – Langzhong BLD
In the morning we will continue our tour in Bazhong. Visit the South, North and West Niches stone carvings with Buddhist stories and sculptures. In the afternoon drive to Langzhong, an ancient city by the Jialing River in Middle East of Sichuan. Overnight at Family Li's Guesthouse in Langzhong

Day06 Langzhong BLD
Full day guided tour in Langzhong. Visit the ancient Gongyuan (the local examination court in Imperial China era), the Temple of Zhangfei, that was dedicated to Gen. Zhang Fei, a famous warrior in the Chinese Eastern Han Dynasty. Afterwards we will visit an ancient pavilion, Hua Guan Lou, the most famous wooden structure building in Langzhong nestled by the Jialing River facing the ancient Nanjin Guan Pier. Our today's tour will come to an end on the ancient streets of Langzhong. Overnight at Family Li's Guesthouse

Day07 Langzhong – Nanbu – Nanchong – Suining - Dazu BLD
Drive to Dazu, on the way visit of Dafo Si Monastery in Nanbu County, Guangde Monastery and Lingquan Monastery in Suining. Overnight at 5*Ramanda Hotel

Day08 Dazu - Anyue BLD
Dazu is famous for its Buddhist carving arts. Listed as a World Heritage Site, the Dazu Rock Carvings are made up of 75 protected sites containing some 50,000 statues, with over 100,000 Chinese characters forming inscriptions and epigraphs. After breakfast at hotel, we commence the exploration in Dazu both to the Northern Hill (Beishan) and Baoding Mountain which contains the finest and most concentrated rock carvings. In the afternoon head for Anyue. Overnight at Jinning Hotel

Day09 Anyue BLD
Anyue is known for its first class Chinese Buddhist Grotto Arts. Tourism there is less developedand hence less known by the world. The Buddhist monuments in the area are well preserved even if a large number were damaged during the Cultural Revolution. Today we will visit the carvings on the cliff face in Wofo Temple (Temple of Reclining Buddha), and the ones of Thousand-Buddha-Cliff and Yuanjue Cave (Cave of Nirvana). Overnight at Jinning Hotel

Day10 Anyue – Zigong BLD
After breakfast, transfer to Zigong, and visit of Zigong Dinosaur Museum, which is one of the three biggest dinosaur museums in the world built on an archaeological site of dinosaur fossils. The museum stores nearly all species of dinosaurs living in Jurassic era. Afterwards visit of Zigong Salt Industry History Museum. In addition, we will take a short excursion to Shenhaijing, the earliest salt well on the planet dug by man power without any use of modern machinery. Overnight at 4*Huidong Hotel

Day11 Zigong - Leshan BLD
In the morning, drive to Rongxian County to visit the 36.67m high Grand Buddha statue, it's the 2nd largest Buddha statue in China only next to the Leshan Buddha. Then keep drive to Leshan. Overnight at 4*Jinhaitang Hotel

Day12 Leshan – Mt. Emei BLD
In Leshan visit of the Grand Buddha in Lingyun Temple. The grand Buddha was completed in 803 of Tang Dynasty after 90 years of construction and enjoys the fame of the biggest sitting stone sculpture in the world with a 71-meter height. Carved on the cliff face, the sculpture is well designed with perfect balance and effective water drainage system. After the visit of the Lingyun Temple and the Grand Buddha, boating on the Minjiang River to see the front site of the Grand Buddha and the "hidden sleeping Buddha". In the afternoon we head for Mt. Emei, the main ritual place of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva (Puxian Pusa) and one of the four most celebrated Buddhist mountains in China. Visit Fuhu Temple (crouching tiger temple) before heading to Wannian Temple (Temple of Long Life) on the mountain. Enjoy Buddhist vegetarian food at night in the temple. Overnight at guesthouse in Wannian Temple

Day13 Mt. Emei BLD
In the morning visit of Wannian Temple to enjoy the famous carving of Bodhisattva Samantabhadra riding on his white elephant. Hike on the old stone steps descend via Qinying Pavilion (Clear Sounds Pavilion) to the One-Thread-Sky, and to the bus station at Wuxian Gang to get picked up to descend the mountain. Take local tour bus to Leidong Ping and hike for approx. 30 minutes to the cable car station to ascend to the mountain top, the 3,077m high Jinding (Golden Summit). Overnight at 3*Jinding Hotel

Day14 Mt. Emei – Chengdu BLD
Enjoy the sunrise in the morning if the weather is fine, afterwards we will tour the summit area to enjoy the sea of clouds, the holy light if lucky enough and visit the Buddhist Temples and hall as well as the grand gilded 10-face-Samantabhadra statue. Leave Mt. Emei for Chengdu in the afternoon. On the way visit of the Thousand-Buddha-Cliff in Jiajiang and the Guanyin Si Temple in Xinjin County, about 7.5km south of Xinjiang downtown, facing the river and enclosed to the hills. The temple is famous for its fantastic fresco painting date back to Ming Dynasty. Overnight at Buddha Zen Hotel

Check out and transfer to airport for flight depart Chengdu. End of the amazing tour.
