The scenic spot of the Tianwan River The Tianwan River scenic spots, provincial-level scenic spots, are situated in the Tibetan Caoke Village of Shimian County and adjoining the Hailuo Valley National Glacier Park with a totoal area of 280 sq km. As a vast area but sparsely populated, the scenic spots have well-preserved virgin forests with luxuriantly green trees sheltering against the heat from the sun in the sky. When the odd flowers like azaleas and Goat Horn Flowers blossom, the whole mountain is full of beautiful flowers as gorgeous as the stars in multitude. Deep in the alps and the canyons, there are the monkeys here and there and the Sichuan takins, argals, deers and other wild animals add a touch of glamour over the scene of the Tianwan River. The fantastic sceneries like the splendid waterfalls and the ample hot springs, cold springs, medical springs and sweet-water springs etc. are also characteristics in style. The modern glaciers in greatness, the alps and lakes wreathed by mist and cloud, the religious culture of long standings, the mysterious cliff stone carving sculptures and the unusual and fantastic Virginia Bright Leaf, which all make the tourists linger around and forget to go back home. No.1 Camp in the scenic spot has been completed to receive 1,000 visitors a day, where some scenic spots can be reached directly by a 18-km macadam road and fiber optic programmable phones are available to serve the global communications. |
