Caoyutan Scenic Spot Caoyutan Scenic Spot is located in the Suoluo Gorge at the intersection of upper reaches of Qingyi River in the Northwest of Hongya County and Ya’an City. The beautiful natural scenes and colorful culture and history constitute its unique river and gorge scene. It has become a world-famous scenic spot. The scenes include Yunyu Building, Pifeng Pavilion, Ruilian Pavilion, Baipo Pavilion etc. The buildings adopted the architecture style of the 4th year of the Reign of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty and are a group of complete typical ancient buildings of Qing Dynasty in Sichuan Province. There are spindle tree firn under the Grade One state protection, which lived in the same age as dinosaur, vivid statue of divine tortoise drinking water, the legendary “Kanduan Mountain” and “Tortoise Capital Mansion” left by God Erlang, after he had killed the monster and controlled the flood, one of passages of the ancient southern Silk Road- “Zhuqing Pass”, the ancient plank road built along the cliff, and many cultural relics and historical sites of Ming and Qing Dynasty such as ancient stone inscriptions and temples. |
