Heilongtan Heilongtan is a provincial scenic spot located in Renshou County, covering an area of more than 180 km2. The main scene is the Heilongtan Reservoir. The lake surface of the reservoir is wide, with 72 islands. The lake shore is serpentine. Green trees are exuberant on these islands. The beautiful scenes include a great dam, three big bends, Penglai Island, Qinglongzui Plant Garden, Longyan Cliff-side Sculpture and stone carved painting and calligraphy, Chengu Mountain, Seven Star Twinkle around the Moon, Bayi Archipelago, Hanjia Dam, Baiguo Dam, Shuangyanzi and so on. Cultural relics are concentrated at Taiyi Dam in the north of the lake, such as Dragon Cliff, Sitting Buddha and stone tablet engraved in Tang Dynasty. The lake is surrounded by luxuriantly green trees. It is charming and fresh through four seasons. More than 100 varieties of birds inhabit there, including wild duck, egret, common crane, swan, etc.. |
