The historic and cultural ancient Fubao town of Hejiang County carries with it a strong minority air and is the No.1 doorway to enter Fobao Scenic Zone. This town has a wavy terrain. Three rivers and five bridges meet here. Around the town there are a lot of green hills; along the river bank the bamboo is waving with the breeze. The old zone of the city which was intended to protect ancient architecture in city planning is composed of by the previous 3 palaces and 8 temples. Rows of Overhanging Wooden Storey together with the modern architecture of the new zone seem particularly mysterious and fascinating, combining ancient simplicity with a modern charm. Most of the present residential houses in the town are built since Ming and Qing Dynasty. Fubao Town is surrounded by water on three sides and there is a saying of “A snake coiling three turtles” and “Five bridges locking two rivers”.
