Longnao Bridge Longnao Bridge, at the foot of Yuchan Mt., over the river of Jiuqu, was a flat stone bridge constructed during the Hongwu Governance of Ming Dynasty. Its piers are composed of Stone Dragon, qilin, lion and white elephant. The technique has achieved such consummation that they are a rare treasure. This bridge was neither linked up by tenon and mortis nor filled up by cementation materials. Its construction depended totally on the mutual bearing between various materials. This is a masterpiece rarely seen of ancient bridges and is listed as the state major relics preserve units |
