Fushun Confucian Temple Fushun Confucian Temple, at the centre of Fushun County City is one of complete beautiful and large scale temples as major historical and cultural sites under the state protection. It was built in Qinli 4 (1044 AD) in Northern Song Dynasty and was rebuilt in Qing dynasty(1840 AD) with an area of over 6,000 m2.Its front wall is red. Into the gate is a pool. There are three bridges over it. At the back of the pool is a stone arch gate called “Lingxing Gate”. Up the steps is the “Minglun Tang”, named cha gate. On its two sides are the rooms for clothes and sacrificial utensils. Behind the cha gate is a square. On the back of it is Heaven of sun and moon. In the middle of it is the nine-dragon relief sculpture on which left and right sides are stone steps leading to the platform. There are main buildings “Dachen Dian”, “pangong”, “chongshengdian” and so on. The “dougong” structure temple has beautiful pictures, flying dragons and splendid antique buildings. |
