Lingyun Mountain Scenic Spot Lingyun Mountain Scenic Spot is located in the south of Laojun Town of Gaoping District in Nanchong and it is a province-level scenic spot. Lingyun Mountain is steep, winding over ten miles from the west to east, and has a beautiful reputation of “The Fairy Mountain of Guojun”. The Lingyun Ancient Temple on the top of the mountain was built at the end of the Han Dynasty. The existing main hall of Zhenwu Palace was rebuilt during Emperor Daoguang’s reign in Qing Dynasty. There are many natural scenic spots and historic sites like Yuxian Mountain, Laojun Cave, Laolong Cave, Wangfu Cliff, Sheshen Cliff, General’s Tomb, Erlongxishui Pond, Dazi Cave and several inscriptions about folk tales on the mountain. There are tourism facilities like restaurants, entertaining places and teahouses in the scenic spot too. |
