Jinshan Temple Lying 8 km from the county, the Jinshan Temple stands at the waist of the Jinshan Mountain in the Baotaba Village, Kaijiang County. It was initially built in Tianbao Years in Tang Dynasty, and later was damaged in the war of late Ming Dynasty. It experienced reconstructions in the years of Kangxi’s and Qianlong’s reign in Qing Dynasty and consists of 2 parts, the Main Hall and the Scripture Tower. The Main Hall faces the north while the Scripture Tower faces the west. There is about 100 chi between them. Covered by ancient trees, The Jinshan Temple is the highest point in this area, with lower mountains stretching behind it and it is flanked by mounds on its both sides. Seen from the mountain, the fields in Baotaoba extending to the horizon like a green sea and dotted by small villages. |
