The Wufeng Mountain Forest Park Located in the Yuehua Village, Dazhu County, the Wufeng Mountain Forest Park, also called the Zhuhai( Bamboo Sea) Park, is famous for various bamboos growing in it . In an area of some 400 hectares, there grow more than 10 species including the Phyllostachys heterocycla, Mottled Bamboo, Neosinocalamus, Bambusa balcooa, Phyllostachys nigra, etc. There are also other precious trees such as the NanMu, rosewood, Langshan Tree,cherry bay, camphor tree ,among which the gigantic pines of Ming Dynasty is quite famous for its old age ; the Seven-sister Tree as well as the Hehuan Tree are endowed with mythical fantastic colors. In addition, this vast forest offers a homeland for many wild animals, e.g. the Hedgepig, Golden Pheasant, Goat, Pheasant and Hare. By the force of nature, vast stone forest and Karst caves were formed in this region. About 20 spots have been opened to public including the Tongtian Cave, Goddess Cave, Qingyan Lake, Wufeng Mountain, Bamboos in the Rain under Moon Light , Wang Xiang Terrace and Labyrinth of Bamboo. |
