Located in the center of Guangyuan City, Phoenix Mountain now has become a recreational park for citizens with an area of 9.6 hm². There are recreation facilities including dancing hall, funfair, swimming pool, water funfair and shooting gallery such as the Pine Hall, Xiang Hall, Huijing Pavilion, and Moon Light on the Baofeng Peak, Phoenix Tower. The 42 m high Phoenix tower with 14 floors is situated on Mt. Phoenix. By integrating with Mt. Phoenix, it bears resemblance to a phoenix looking back seen in distance. At night, when the lights with color are illuminating, the building reminds one of a glittering phoenix. Phoenix Tower began to be built in 1988 and was completed in 1989. The main body is armored concrete. The vertex is roofed with yellow colored glaze. There is a platform on each floor, around which brown glass windows made of alloy of aluminum is fixed. It boasts of the elegance of ancient buildings and magnificence of modern buildings as well. Guangyuan Phoenix Tower has become a well-known building for its unique structure and grandiosity.
