Dear Sun Hui, For your information please find some comments on our trip. Day01 Lijiang - Baishuitai - Shangri-la
This was a very nice trip (even passing trough Tiger Leaping Gorge). Baishuitai is certainly worth a visit but to see the terraces you need to climb a lot of steep stairs ! But one can also take a horse...
We were on time in Shangri-la and still had enough time to visit the old town, the temple etc. Great place to visit.
The hotel was fine.
Day02 Shangri-la - Xiangcheng
This was a very adventurous day. But thanks to Mr Lui we arrived save in the hotel.
The hotel was really top. But their breakfast is not good (even Chinese people were complaining).
Day03 Xiangcheng - Litang
Nice trip. And we have spend some nice time in town. The visit to the old part (with the house of the Dalai Lama) was interesting (and recommended). And the also market was interesting to visit and to see the local people.
The hotel in Litang is "acceptable". But at least they should clean the place ... Some staff was helpful and friendly; other not at all.
Day04/5 Litang - Yajiang - Xinduqiao
Nice trip with a "new" car. Good hotel.
Day06 Xinduqiao - Tagong - Bamei - Danba - Rilong - Dujiangyan
Tagong Monastery is worth the trip !!! Also the villages are fine to visit.
The hotel was super. WIFI again !! And all the comfort one can hope for. Also top breakfast
Day07 Dujiangyan - Qingcheng Shan - Chengdu
The visit to Dujiangyan was interesting but we would not recommend it to friends. As we visited during our trip several temples by cable car, we preferred to drive on to Chengdu.
Thanks for the fine lunch. Mr Lui made an excellent choice of dishes. It was really a pleasure to make this trip. We will remember the fabulous scenery, the great temples and monasteries, and certainly the very nice and friendly people we met on the road. This trip was impossible without the support of our FANTASTIC driver, Mr Lui. He is not only a great driver, but also a nice and friendly man. His English was very good, so we could understand us (sometimes with a little help from the "Phone translation". But especially his attitude during the problems in Litang was fantastic. If ever we want to make an other difficult trip, we will put him on top of our demanding list. You can recommend him to other western travellers !! And thank him from us once more !! So thank you for organising this fantastic trip and should you need a good and strong reference for western travellers, you can Always send them our email address and we will recommend your agency out of our own experience.
