The Red Army's Trench is situated by the side of Xiangqi Mountain, which lies in the west of Tianpen. The mountain extends about 1000 m with 5 hillocks rising up in equidistance. They are covered by dense pine woods, seen from afar, like 5 green flying banners in the breeze.
