With a total area of 10 Hectares, the People's Park is located in the center of the Citang Street at the center of the city. It hosts elegant mountains, broad lake, colorful flowers and flourish woods. There are Children's Park, open theater, bonsai garden and swimming pool in it. The monument to those who died in the Xinhai Railway-Right Recovery Movement is in the northwest and it is a Key Cultural Relic under State-level Protection and a monument in honor of revolution. Shaocheng Garden which is composed of the seasonal flower section, bonsai section, and orchid section is the main part of the park. It represents the style of the famous East Garden of Song Dynasty which well combines the nature and tradition of residential houses of west Sichuan.
